Checklist of the bookplates designed by Margaret Ely Webb
A partial list from 1908–1933 with images
Last year I emailed the president of the American Society of Bookplate Collectors and Designers if they could send me a scan of a set of pages from their ‘1933 Year Book’ - specifically pertaining to Margaret Ely Webb. I had found the article online but due to not living in the US the online libraries didn’t allow me to view it. It included an article on bookplates by Webb as well as a checklist of her bookplates from 1908 - 1933. Her designs go on for another 30 years so this checklist is just partial. I thought I’d share the checklist and the corresponding bookplates! There are some marked with an asterisk which denotes bookplates that I own personally. There’s around 10 below I haven’t been able to find so if you have an image of it please send it my way!
